Etihad Airways is a national flag carrier of United Arab Emirates. It is a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and the Arab Air Carriers' Organization (AACO). It was established in 2003 and commenced its first flight in the same year. It takes Abu Dhabi International Airport as the main hub of its operations.

Etihad Airways, the national carrier of UAE, announces preliminary results for passenger traffic on board flights for the month of March 2024. Etihad Airways carried more than 1.4 million passengers on its aircraft, while the average load factor reached 84% throughout the month.
Etihad has increased the number of seasonal flights from 642 flights to 866 flights during the peak season between June and July 2024, which means strengthening its network of destinations and facilitating access to the United Arab Emirates.
