About TruJet
TruJet is the brand name for Turbo Megha Airways Pvt. Ltd. It is an Indian-based regional low-cost airline. Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (HYD) in Hyderabad is the headquarters and aviation hub for TruJet. It was founded on March 14th, 2013 and the first commercial flight was launched on July 12th, 2015 from Hyderabad to Tirupati. TruJet obtained a No Objection Certificate from the Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation in 2014. It adopted the brand name ‘TruJet’ in February of 2015. Using ATR 72 aircraft, TruJet offers air services to connect Tier-2 cities in India. It operates flights to fourteen domestic destinations in the Middle and Southern cities of India. TruJet offers passenger services at cheap, convenient and comfortable timings across their network, according to the leisure and business needs. It appeals to the middle class and the pilgrims due to the qualitative and cheap air tickets. TruJet received the first air operator’s certificate on 7th July 2015. TruJet seeks to introduce additional aircraft to the fleet in the near future.

Baggage Allowance onboard TruJet:

TruJet allows each passenger to check-in one bag up to 15 kg free of charge.
Every passenger is allowed to carry one piece of cabin baggage and an additional bag that cannot exceed the limit of 7 kg combined.
The bag overall limit may not exceed 158 cm.
Infants are not allocated any free baggage.
Excess baggage fees of Rs. 300 per one kg are incurred on the additional weight at the time of check-in, though TruJet does not guarantee excess baggage.
Cabin luggage should be small enough to be stowed under the passengers’ front seat.
Any item determined to be oversized or to have excessive weight will not be allowed in the passengers’ cabin.
Delicate musical instruments can be carried in the passengers’ cabin if a request has been put forward by the passenger prior to the scheduled departure time.
Special Care Services:
TruJet offers physically challenged passengers the utmost care. It aspires to accommodate every passengers’ needs to travel and it leaves no stone unturned. The following guidelines should be carefully considered by interested physically challenged passengers:
Private wheelchairs onboard TruJet are not allowed. If a passenger requires wheelchair assistance at the airport, they are required to put in a request of a wheelchair at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure time. TruJet airline cannot guarantee the availability of a wheelchair.
If a passenger is not self-reliant they are requested to travel alongside an adult attendant.
Travel of Visually Impaired Passengers:
Passengers who are visually impaired should place a request for special services at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time of their flight. Guide dogs or incubators are not allowed on TruJet flights. TruJet’s professionals and experienced representatives take a good a care of impaired passengers right from the check-in to the point where they have sat comfortably in their seats onboard.
Unaccompanied Minors Traveling on Board TruJet:
TruJet offers unaccompanied minors aged 5 to 12 years assistance to travel safely in return for fees. Fees of Rs.1500 are charged per one unaccompanied child. Unaccompanied minors are assisted and escorted by TruJet highly qualified staff during their travel from check-in at the airport till they reach their final destination. They are delivered to an adult guardian. The parents or an adult guardian are required to complete and sign an Unaccompanied Minor Form at the airport of departure. The designated recipient must show a photo ID and sign the form to take over the responsibility of looking after the child.
Expectant Mothers’ Travel onboard TruJet:
TruJet allows expectant mothers to travel up to the 27 weeks of pregnancy.
After 28 weeks of pregnancy and up to 32 weeks of pregnancy, expectant mothers need to have a gynecologist’s certificate that confirms the very stage of their pregnancy and whether they are fit to board the plane. The certificate may not be older than 24 hours prior to scheduled departure time.
Under any circumstances, expectant mothers who have completed 32 weeks of pregnancy are not allowed to onboard Truejet.
Policy for Traveling with an Infant:
The passengers travelling with an infant should inform the reservation staff of TruJet airways before purchasing a ticket.
Airport Check-in Procedures:
The check-in time starts 2 hours prior to the scheduled departure time and closes 45 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Passengers are expected to report at the airport at least 2 hours before the scheduled departure time at the check-in counters.
TruJet has the right to cancel the tickets of the passengers who fail to make/ report at the check-in counter at the right time.
TruJet holds no responsibility for any loss or expense occurred due to the failure of the passenger in complying with the timelines.The passengers are advised to keep their boarding pass till they leave the airport.
TruJet Online Check-in:
Online check-in opens 48 hours prior to the scheduled departure time of the flight and closes 2 hours before the scheduled departure time.
After online check-in, if passengers have any check-in baggage, they should report to the airport 2 hours prior to the departure time of flight.
Web check-in cannot be availed in the following scenarios:
