Etihad Airways is a national flag carrier of United Arab Emirates. It is a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and the Arab Air Carriers' Organization (AACO). It was established in 2003 and commenced its first flight in the same year. It takes Abu Dhabi International Airport as the main hub of its operations.

Etihad Airways Strengthens Its Presence in Africa with Increased Flights to Nairobi
Etihad Airways, the UAE's national carrier, has increased the number of flights to Nairobi in response to growing demand for travel to African destinations. The airline has doubled its daily flights to Nairobi, bringing the total to 14 weekly flights starting from December 15, 2025. This announcement comes less than a year after Etihad resumed its flights to the Kenyan capital, confirming the strength of this route.

Etihad Airways Releases Passenger Traffic Results for July 2024
Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the UAE, announced its preliminary passenger traffic results for July 2024. The airline transported 1.7 million guests with an average seat load factor of 89% throughout the month. Year-over-year, the number of passengers grew by 33%, totaling 10.4 million for the year so far. The fleet size has increased to 93 aircraft, up from 78 in June 2023, and the network has expanded to 76 destinations.
Etihad Airways Celebrates 20 Years of Flights to India
Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the UAE, has announced the deployment of its luxurious A380 aircraft on the Abu Dhabi-Mumbai route starting from September 1, 2024, in celebration of twenty years since Etihad Airways began its flights to India. The airline will operate its A380 aircraft three times a week between Abu Dhabi and Mumbai for four months starting from September 2024.
Etihad Airways Launches A380 to Singapore in February 2025
Etihad Airways is enhancing its operational capabilities by launching its luxurious A380 aircraft on the Abu Dhabi-Singapore route starting from February 1, 2025. This will be the fourth destination to experience the giant aircraft, alongside London, New York, and Paris.

BAGGAGE POLICY
- First Class: First Class passengers are allowed two complementary pieces of checked baggage weighing no more than 32 kgs per bag and two carry-on pieces weighing no more 12 kgs each.
- Business Class: Business Class passengers are allowed to check-in two pieces of baggage free of charge weighing no more than 32 kgs per bag and two carry-on pieces each of 12 kgs as the maximum weight.
- Economy Class: Economy Class passengers are allowed to check-in two pieces cost-free weighing no more than 32 kgs per bag or 23 kgs (depending on the flight destination). When it comes to carry-on luggage, Economy Class passengers are allowed to check in one piece of 7 kgs.
- In addition to the free carry-on luggage to the aircraft cabin, all passengers can carry: a handbag - a blanket or coat - a small camera - an umbrella or a walking stick - books to read - foods for babies - baby bed - laptop device.
