Air Cairo was established under the name Cairo Aviation as a charter airline.
2002
Cairo Aviation officially commenced its operations with a fleet composed of three Russian Tupolev aircraft.
2003
EgyptAir bought 40% stake of Cairo Aviation. In the same year, Cairo Aviation was christened Air Cairo and it was restructured to operate both charter and scheduled flights.
2015
Air Cairo has passed IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) program for the fifth time respectively. In August, Air Cairo joined the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
