Founded in 2003, Air Arabia was the first low-cost airline in the Middle East. It is a national UAE airline and is headquartered in the city of Sharjah. The maximum permissible weight per piece of luggage is 32 kgs.
Passengers travelling with infants (younger than two years) are allowed 10 kgs of extra checked baggage.

Passengers travelling from Sharjah International Airport can check-in online and print their boarding passes before 24 hours to their scheduled flight departure time. Passengers travelling from other airports can check-in online and print their boarding passes 12 hours prior to their flight departure time. Passengers can also make check-in at airports. They can approach al Arabiya check-in counters at airports to check-in and get their boarding passes printed.
