Aegean Airlines has announced a significant investment in its long-haul capabilities with the addition of two Airbus A321neo XLR aircraft to its fleet. These state-of-the-art planes are scheduled for delivery between December 2025 and January 2026.

The new A321neo XLR aircraft will feature 138 seats, including 24 fully lie-flat Business Class suites, marking a substantial upgrade in passenger comfort and service for longer routes. This strategic acquisition will enable Aegean to launch direct flights to new, distant markets.

As part of this expansion, Aegean will introduce direct flights connecting Athens with New Delhi five times weekly, commencing in March 2026. This will be followed by the launch of services to Mumbai, further extending the airline's reach into the Indian subcontinent.

The XLR aircraft boast an impressive flight range of up to 10.5 hours, opening up new opportunities for Aegean to explore and serve a wider array of international destinations.
