Air Cairo was established in 1996 by Egyptian businessman Kamal Zaki and it launched its operations in 1997. It is one of the strongest low-cost Egyptian airlines and it operates scheduled and charter flights. Air Cairo is headquartered in Cairo and Cairo International Airport is the main hub for its operations. It is a member of International Air Transport Association (IATA), International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and Arab Air Carriers Organization (AACO). At the present time, Air Cairo is owned by Egypt Air (60 %), National Bank of Egypt (20 %), and Banque Misr (20 %).
Air Cairo serves 27 domestic and international destinations across 16 countries. The air fleet consists of 7 modern aircraft all of Airbus A320 models. Air Cairo is striving to become an integrated corporate airline and introducing more services and Air Cairo tickets.
Air Cairo provides one-seat-configuration all are of Economy Class. The cabin is equipped with individual screens supporting the latest AVOD. The passengers are given complimentary access to spend pleasurable time during their flights. They are offered meals, beverages and basic travel supply free of charge on long haul flights.
