SalamAir is a low-cost Omani airline founded recently in 2016 and commenced operations in January 2017. It is based and headquartered in the city Muscat and International Airport and Salalah International Airport are the operational hubs. It is owned by Muscat National Development and Investment Company. SalamAir offers scheduled and seasonal competitively priced flights to 12 local and international destinations through a young fleet of modern Airbus aircraft. It operates 116 flights per week and it has carried about 400,000 since its inception.

I August, SalamAir expanded operations and launched new routes to Khartoum, Kathmandu, Najaf, and Dhaka. In July, SalamAir announced to add six brand-new Airbus aircraft to its young fleet. In July, “More on Air” SalamAir’s frequent flyer program was launched. In April, SalamAir opened new routes to Tbilisi and Baku.
In January, SalamAir launched international operations and expanded with double daily flights to Dubai. In April, SalamAir grew and it launched operations to Saudi Arabia and Pakistan in April. In November, SalamAir launched new routes to Dubai International Airport and another route to Hamad International Airport.
SalamAir was founded and it received delivery of its first Airbus A320.
