Egyptair is an Egyptian national airline. Dating back to 1932, it was the first airline founded in the Middle East and the seventh airline all over the world. Egypt Air the Egyptian national carrier receives the award for the fastest growing airline in Africa in a ceremony held at Athens Airport. This selection came during the workshop organized by Athens International Airport annually to choose the best growing airlines.
The results were based on the increase in EgyptAir flights to Athens and the density Passenger traffic, as the operation of EgyptAir flights between Cairo and Athens has increased over the past period and is constantly increasing, reaching two flights per day on the winter schedule and three flights per day during the summer season.
